January Meeting at Evergreen Grill: Casting the First Stone

A great time was had by all during the What’s Happening Myron Book Club January Meeting. We decided to return to Evergreen Grill this month as we featured “Casting the First Stone” by Kimberla Lawson Roby. This is the first of her Reverend Curtis Black Series. Of course we all discovered that the good Reverend Black is quite off the chain. Aaron Jordan, Jr., a local author from right here in Memphis was invited by to discuss his upcoming book, “The Power Within: A Woman’s Worth”. Mr. Jordan was quite compelling as shared his insight on “A Man’s Role” as well as “How Long is Long Enough to Heal”. His book will be released later this year. The food at Evergreen Grill was great as always. The next Book Club Meeting will be held on February 23 at 4:00pm. The location will be announced in just a few days. However, the next book is the 2nd in the Curtis Black Series which we will be covering for most of this year. That title is, “Too Much of a Good Thing”. But make sure you read “Casting the First Stone” before then so that you won’t miss any of the storyline.
